The Back-Office

Insty-Site has a special password protected area called the back-office for Insty-Site users to manage their website. The first time you login to the back-office, you will be prompted to create your administrative username and password. Once you have chosen a username and password, you will then be logged into the back-office automatically and directed to the Setup Wizard to setup your new website.

The back-office homepage will contain a wealth of information about your website and the server environment in which it is running. Some of this information is specifically relevant to server settings relevant to the website software to work properly.

To the left is a group of expanding menus to direct you to various tools and controls for editing your website. Basic settings are the top. Familiarizing yourself with the settings and what they do is advisable. Content-related tools are below this. This is where you may add weblogs, a calendar, photos, videos, FAQs, and other common website functions. Website appearance, advanced tools, and logs are at the bottom. If you are a novice user, you may wish to only concern yourself with content.
