Managing Header & Logo

Insty-Site allows you to place a header and a logo on your website with just a few quick steps. First, make sure you understand the difference between a header and a logo. A logo is basically a small image that is used to identify your website or business. A header is a long rectangular-shaped image that is placed across the top of a website page. The logo is usually positioned at the top left of your header. It is common to hide the logo and simply include it as part of the header image using Photoshop.

Choose Logo
Select a logo image. Only PNG, JPG, and GIF files can be used here.

Hide Logo
Checking this box hides the logo, but keeps the settings as they are. This is usually done when the logo is integrated into the header image.

Shrink Logo
Enter a number here to shrink the logo down to a specific number of pixels. Enter 0 to leave the logo as is.

Choose Header
Select a header image as the background to go behind your logo. As with the logo image, only PNG, JPG, and GIF files can be used here. When uploading a header image, the recommended size is displayed in pixels. It is advised that you adhere to the recommended header size, otherwise if it is narrower than the recommended width, your header will be right justified.

Fill Color
Select the fill color of the background behind your logo. When you click Choose Color, you will be allowed to select a color from your logo. To do this, simply click on the specific color you want within your logo and the color number will appear. Another option is to just type in the color number of your choice.

Logo Horizontal Offset
This setting allows you to move your logo to the left or right. Logos are aligned left by default. Offsetting the logo with a number greater than zero will move the logo to the right. You may enter a negative number to offset to the left.
