Settings - Polls

Polls are useful for gaining information from your visitors about specific topics. The following settings change the behaviors of the polling system.

Default Poll
This list shows all currently open polls. Select which one you would like to appear on your website. If you have no polls or the currently selected poll is closed, the poll block will not appear.

Guest Voting
This setting determines if guest users, meaning users not logged into the website, are allowed to vote in the polls.

Vote Tracking
This setting determines how the voting system keeps track of who has already voted. Setting this to IP/User instructs the voting system to track user IDs for logged in users and/or IP addresses. Setting to Cookie will work on everyone who is not blocking cookies. Either of these individual settings are not absolutely effective. If you want absolute vote tracking, set Guest Voting to NO and set this to Both.
