Static & Dynamic Content

The term "Content" refers anything you want to appear on your web pages. On Insty-Site there are two types of content: Static and Dynamic. Static content is any part of your website that never changes unless manually edited by the Insty-Site user. Dynamic content is any part of a web page which can change automatically based on how your website visitors interact with your site.

Static Phrases
In Insty-Site, you can manage and edit countless phrases which represent bits of static content that you can attach anywhere throughout your website. Phrases are the simplest form of content. When adding or editing a phrase, the back-office will provide you with one of three powerful HTML editor windows.

PHP Blocks
PHP is a dynamic programming language commonly used on the Internet today. Insty-Site was developed in PHP and, as such, can execute additional PHP code an Insty-Site user may add to extend the website beyond its normal functions. PHP code blocks are the same as phrases in the sense that they can be attached anywhere throughout the site. The difference is that blocks DO NOT produce an editor window and standard PHP syntax must be observed when editing a PHP block.
